Volunteer

Facilitate a group.

You made it through. You know the difference between someone who read about it and someone who lived it, because you can hear it in the first thirty seconds. That's what a facilitator brings to the room, and it's the one thing we can't train.

Who we are looking for

  • Lived experience with at least one of the three: bipolar disorder, anxiety or panic, ADD/ADHD.
  • At least one year of self-managed stability.
  • An Arizona connection. You live here, or you did.
  • The ability to hold space without fixing. Listening is the job.

What you get

  • The full training stack, paid for.
  • A community of facilitators who are doing the same work.
  • A debrief after every session. You carry nothing home alone.
  • The particular kind of purpose that comes from being the person you needed.

How it works

  1. 01

    Apply

The short form below. Tell us your experience in your own words.

  2. 02

    Screening interview

A conversation on Zoom with the founder or a lead facilitator. Both directions: you are interviewing us too.

  3. 03

    Training

QPR suicide-prevention gatekeeper training, plus DBSA or NAMI Connection facilitator training, plus Rebuilt Minds orientation. We cover the cost.

  4. 04

    Co-facilitate

You start as the second facilitator alongside someone experienced. You lead when you are ready.

The commitment

Two sessions a month for six months. Every session has two facilitators, so you are never alone in the room, and there is a debrief after every session.

Apply to facilitate

This takes about five minutes. We read every application and reply within a week.

If you or someone you know is in crisis: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — in Arizona, answered by Solari), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or call 911. Rebuilt Minds groups are not a crisis service.
